http://www.goodsol.com/download.html

A new release of Pretty Good Solitaire is now available. Version 12.0.1 is
available for download from http://www.goodsol.com/download.html .

Version 12.0.1 is a maintenance release with just bug fixes over version
12.0.0. The bug fixes include rules fixes to Northwest Territory, Stonewall,
and related games, Wizard bug fixes, and some screen size issues.

TO DOWNLOAD
You can download Pretty Good Solitaire version 12.0.1 from
http://www.goodsol.com/download.html . Be sure to exit the game before
you install.

UPGRADES
Pretty Good Solitaire version 12.0.1 is a free update for those who
originally ordered versions 10 through 12 in 2005 to 2008, or those who
paid for an upgrade during that time. However, it is not a free upgrade for
those who originally ordered version 9 or earlier.

The quick way to determine whether version 12 is a free upgrade for you is
to look at your registration code. If your registration code starts with "27",
"24", "2p", or "2m", the upgrade is free and your registration code will work
in version 12. Otherwise, you will need to upgrade to play version 12. If
your registration code starts with "22" or "2u", version 11 was a free
upgrade but version 12 is not.

Full details on upgrading are at http://www.goodsol.com/upgrade.html .
Upgrades are still only US$11.95. Note that we always keep older versions
available at http://www.goodsol.com/downloadpre.html for those who
prefer not to upgrade.

If you qualify for a free upgrade, your registration code will work in the
new version. Normally Pretty Good Solitaire should register itself if it
finds a registered copy of one of these older versions. If not and you have
lost your code, you can request that your registration code be sent to you
again from http://www.goodsol.com/regusers.html .

TO ORDER
Pretty Good Solitaire version 12.0.1 is US$24.95, plus an optional
$7.50 shipping for a CD-ROM. In addition to installing the basic game, the
CD-ROM also installs all of the currently available extra card sets.

You can order online from http://www.goodsol.com/orderonline.html .
Phone and mail order options are also available from that page. For those
who purchase for the first time now or upgrade, you get free upgrades
through the 2010 version.

Featured Game - Northwest Territory
-----------------------------------

Northwest Territory is a 1 deck game that is a cross between the classic
Klondike and the game Flower Garden.

In Northwest Territory, there are 8 tableau piles dealt out in Klondike
fashion, one card to the first pile, two cards to the second, and so on with
the top card only face up.

The remaining 16 cards are all dealt to one big reserve pile, which has the
unusual feature that all of the cards in the pile are available for play. To
play a card from the reserve, just click on it to move it the bottom of the
pile, then drag it to where you want to play it. As a shortcut, you can also
quickly play a card by right clicking on it.

The object of the game is to build up four foundation piles from Ace to King
in suit.

The tableau piles are built down in alternate color. Groups of cards can be
moved if the are in sequence down by alternate color.

Spaces can be filled only by Kings or groups of cards headed by Kings.
However, there is a KingOnly option where you can change it to allow any
card in a space. The game is more interesting and challenging with
KingOnly on.

With KingOnly off, the game can be won pretty much every time. But with
KingOnly on, it becomes a challenge to achieve wins.

Note that there was a bug in version 12.0.0 that allowed moves that are
against the rules. This bug has been fixed in version 12.0.1.

Northwest Territory is one of the 700 games in Pretty Good Solitaire. It
can be downloaded from http://www.goodsol.com/download.html .
