Castles End is a one deck Castle type game.

How to Play

There are four foundation piles, as usual, which are to be built up in suit from the rank of the first card moved to the first pile, wrapping from King to Ace as necessary, until each pile contains 13 cards. When all of the cards are moved here, the game is won.

There are ten tableau piles. These piles are bullt up or down in alternate color. Only one card at a time may be moved. Spaces can be filled by any card. At the start of the game five cards are dealt face up to each pile.

And then there are two reserve piles. At the start of the game one card is dealt to each pile. The card is available for play on the foundations or tableau. Cards cannot be replaced once moved.

To begin the game, choose a card to move to the first foundation pile. All the other foundation piles will then begin with the same rank as this card. Castles End is an open game, meaning all of the cards are face up and visible at the start. Open games generally allow for more skill.

Castles End is a variation of Good Measure. An average player wins about 98% of the time, and scores of 100% are very possible..
