| · | 8 foundation piles (middle row) - build up in suit from Aces to Kings.

| · | 8 tableau piles (below foundations) - build down by alternate color. Groups of cards in sequence down by alternate color may be moved as a unit. Spaces are filled by any card. At the start of the game 4 cards are dealt to each pile, the top card face up.

| · | reserve (top right) - top card is available for play on the foundations and tableau. At the start of the game 9 cards are dealt here.

| · | stock (top far left, face down) - turn over cards 1 at a time to the waste by clicking. No redeals.
|
| · | waste (next to stock) - top card is available for play on the foundations and tableau.
|
| · | The Bastille (face down, next to waste) - after the reserve is empty, turn over cards 1 at a time by clicking. The top turned over card is available for play on the foundations and tableau. During the initial deal, 4 cards are dealt face down to the Bastille, then the 8 Kings are dealt face down on top of the 4 cards.
