| · | 8 foundation piles (across top) - build up in suit from Ace to King.

| · | 13 tableau piles (below foundations) - build down in suit. Only one card at a time may be moved. Spaces may be filled by any card. At the start of the game 1 card is dealt to the first pile, 2 to the 2nd, 3 to the 3rd, 4 to the 4th, 5 to the 5th, 6 to the 6th, 7 to the 7th, then 6 to the 8th, 5 to the 9th, and 4 to the 10th, 3 to the 11th, 2 to the 12th, and 1 to the 13th. Some cards are face down in alternating fashion.
