| · | 8 foundation piles (across top) - build up in suit from Ace to King.

| · | 10 tableau piles (below foundations) - build down by alternate color. Move groups of cards if they are in sequence down by alternate color. Spaces are filled by a King or a group of cards headed with a King. At the start of the game 5 cards are dealt to each pile, 4 face down and 1 face up.
