1 Deck.  Medium (90%).  Mostly Skill.

 

Object

To move all the cards to the foundations.

 

Layout

4 foundation piles (right) - build up in suit from Ace to King.

 

13 tableau piles (left of foundations) - build down regardless of suit.  Only one card at a time may be moved.  Spaces can be filled only with Kings.  At the start of the game 4 cards are dealt face up to each pile.

Tips

Don't let one foundation get too far ahead of the others.

 

Watch for piles that contain a lower card of a suit below a higher card of the same suit.

 

History

Portuguese Solitaire is halfway between Baker's Dozen and Spanish Patience.  It is harder than Spanish Patience since only Kings are allowed in empty tableau piles, but is easier than Baker's Dozen, which does not allow any cards to be played to empty tableau piles at all.
