Quests

Quests are a new and exciting way to play solitaire.  Each Quest is a 9 level game where the object is to get to the final level with as many points as possible.   At each level, the games get harder.

There are 3 types of Quests:

Apprentice Quest - the easiest type of Quest.

Journeyman Quest - the middle type of Quest.

Master Quest - the hardest type of Quest.

To play a Quest, click on the Quest button on the main screen.  You will then select which of the 3 types of Quest to play.  To select a Quest, click on the button graphic of that Quest.

At the beginning of each Quest level, you must first choose the game for that level.  You will be shown 9 different solitaire games in a 3x3 grid.  You must select one of the 3 rows.  The computer will randomly select one of the 3 columns.  The game that is in the row you select and the column the computer selects will be the game for that level.  This means that although you have some control over the selection of the game, you will not know which of the 3 games in the row you will have to play until you select the row.

Once the game is selected, click on the Play button to play the game for that level.  While playing a Quest game, you can save the Quest in progress by choosing "Save Quest" from the Quest menu, or by clicking on the Save Quest button.  When a Quest is saved, you will return to the main screen.  The next time you play that type of Quest you will be able to resume the game where you left it.  (Quests can only be saved from within a game).

If you win a Quest game, you will see a window that shows your progress through the Quest and your point total.  If you cannot win the game, you can select "Next Quest Game" from the Quest menu, or click on the "Next Quest Game" button to move on to the next level.

The object of the Quest is to score as many points as possible.  Each Quest has 5000 possible points.  The points that you can earn at each level are as follows, and the type of games at each level are :

Level 1 - 1 deck very easy or easy type games - 52 points (1 point per card), 0 bonus points for winning - 52 points total.
