Sixteen Puzzle
[Previous] [Main] [Next]

2 Decks. Medium (22%). Skill/Luck balanced.

Object
To move all the cards to the tableau.

Layout
·16 tableau piles - build down regardless of suit. Only one card at a time may be moved. Spaces can be filled by any card. At the start of the game 1 card is dealt to each pile.

·stock (center, face up) - top card is available for play on the tableau.

Notes

The idea is to get all of the cards in play by grouping cards in piles down regardless of suit, which brings more cards into play via the empty spaces created. The game is won if all cards are moved from the stock onto the tableau.

History
Sixteen Puzzle is a variation of Trusty Twelve. It was invented by Thomas Warfield.
