Tableau Wizard Part 1

Top  Previous  Next

The first Tableau part of the Wizard has 4 fields:  Number of Tableau Piles, Number of Cards in each Tableau pile,  Number of Face Down cards, and Make Last Deal Come Out Even.

Number of Tableau Piles

Determines how many tableau piles there will be in the game.  This can be anywhere from 4 to 35, depending on the type of game and the screen resolution.

Number of Cards in each Tableau Pile

Determines how many cards will be dealt to each Tableau pile at the beginning of the game.  This can be anywhere from 1 to 13, depending on how many tableau piles you chose and the screen resolution.

Number of Face Down Cards in each Tableau Pile

Determines how many cards are dealt face down in each tableau pile. At least one card must be dealt face up, so this number can be anywhere from zero to one less than the number of cards in each tableau pile.  In Klondike type games, you can only have 1 card face up, or all cards face up.  In Spider type games, there is an additional option of having just the top card face up.

Make Last Deal Come Out Even

This option is available only in Spider type games.  It deals the cards to the tableau at the start of the game so that when dealing cards to the tableau during the game, the last group of cards dealt deals a card to all piles in the tableau.  The game Spider itself does this by dealing one more card to the first 4 tableau piles than the rest at the start of the game.
