• | 8 piles (top) - Build the top piles from Jacks to Ace, King, Queen. Build the lower piles from Queens to King, Ace to Jack. Each group of 4 piles should have a pile of each suit. |
• | 16 piles (below ) - top card is available for play on the . Spaces are not filled. No building until the last redeal is completed. After the last redeal, build . At the start of the game 1 card is dealt face up to each pile. |
• | (top left, face down) - deal one card to each pile, by clicking. When the is empty, the is redealt in the following way by clicking on the empty : the cards in the last pile of the last row are picked up and turned over. The top card is dealt to the pile where the cards were taken, the remainder are dealt to the first pile in the first row and across until the cards run out. This can be repeated for each pile in the , moving from the bottom right pile to next pile to its left. There are 16 redeals, one for each pile. |

History
Alliance is just like Matrimony, except after the last redeal you can build cards in the tableau, which makes the game easier and adds some skill to the game. It was invented by Thomas Warfield.
