1 Deck.  Easy (80%).  Mostly Skill.

 

Object

To move all the cards to the foundations.

 

Layout

4 foundation piles (top) - build up in suit from the rank of the first card moved to the first pile, wrapping from King to Ace as necessary, until each pile contains 13 cards.

 

10 tableau piles (below foundations) - build up or down by alternate color.  Only one card at a time may be moved.  Spaces can be filled by any card.  At the start of the game 5 cards are dealt face up to each pile.

 

2 reserve piles (top left) - At the start of the game 1 card is dealt to each pile.  The card is available for play on the foundations or tableau.  Cards cannot be replaced once moved.

Notes

To begin the game, choose a card to move to the first foundation pile (far left at top).  All the other foundation piles will then begin with the same rank as this card.

 

History

Castles End is a variation of Good Measure, and is similar to Bastion and Chessboard.
