At the start of the game 1 card is dealt to the first pile, 2 cards to the 2nd pile, and so on. The top card is face up. Then 5 additional face up cards are dealt to each of the 2nd through 13th piles, and 4 additional cards are dealt to the 14th to 16th piles.|
