The Plot

Top  Previous  Next

2 Decks.  Very Hard (1%).  Skill/luck balanced.

Object

To move all the cards to the foundations.

Layout

8 foundation piles (right) - build up in suit from the rank of first card dealt to the first pile, wrapping from King to Ace as necessary, until each pile contains 13 cards.  No cards can be played on the 2nd through 8th piles until all 13 cards have been played to the first pile.  The first pile is offset to the left of the other 7 piles.

12 tableau piles (center) - build down in suit.  Only one card at a time may be moved.  Spaces may be filled only from the waste.  At the start of the game 1 card is dealt to each pile.  Until the first foundation pile contains 13 cards, cards of the same rank as the first card of the first foundation pile cannot be built on other cards or built upon.

stock (bottom left, face down) - turn over 1 card at a time to the waste, by clicking.  No redeals.

waste (below stock) - Top card always available for play on the foundations or tableau.

reserve (top left, above stock) - Top card always available for play on the foundations only.  At the start of the game 13 cards are dealt here.

Notes

The Plot has three restrictions that make things difficult: 1) you cannot play any cards to the 2nd to 8th foundation piles until the first foundation pile contains all 13 cards.  The first pile is offset from the others to make it more visible.  2) cards in the reserve can be played only to the foundations, not to the tableau, and 3) until the first foundation pile contains 13 cards, you cannot build or build upon cards of the same rank as the first card of the first foundation pile.
