To move all the cards to the foundations.



8 foundation piles (top) - build the piles on the left up in suit from Ace to King, build the piles on the right down in suit from King to Ace.  Each group of 4 piles should have a pile of each suit.  An Ace or a King of each suit is dealt here at the start of the game.


6 tableau piles (face up in the middle) - top card is available for play on the foundations or reserves.  Spaces are filled by a group of 4 cards from the stock.  No building.  At the start of the game 4 cards are dealt face up to each pile.


8 reserve piles (left and right sides) - each pile can contain 1 card, available for play on the foundations.  At the start of the game 1 card is dealt face up to each pile.


stock (top, face down) - clicking deals 4 cards to each tableau pile.  There are 2 redeals.  (During a redeal all the cards in the tableau are collected and all the cards are redealt to the tableau.






When the foundations piles of the same suit meet, is its allowable (and encouraged) to move cards from one foundation to the other.



Try to keep at least one reserve open.  Don't put cards on the reserve that will stay there for a long time.



Tournament is an excellent game of strategy invented from the games La Nivernaise and Marechal Saxe by Albert Morehead and Geoffrey Mott-Smith.
