Bristol is an easy one deck game.
At the start of the game three cards are dealt face up to eight fans (or tableau piles). The remainder of the cards form a stock. There are the standard four foundation piles, which will be built up regarldess of suit from Ace to King. The game is won when all of the cards are moved here.
Among the eight fans, building is down regardless of suit. Only one card at a time may be moved. Spaces cannot be filled.
Clicking on the stock will deal three cards, one to each of three waste piles. The top card of each waste pile is available for play on the foundations or fans.
Bristol can be won about 80% of the time by an average player and more often by a good player. It was invented by Albert Morehead and Geoffrey Mott-Smith.
