Gate is a one deck Canfield type game.

How to Play

There are four foundation piles. These arre built up in suit from Ace to King. The game is won when all the cards are moved here.

There are eight tableau piles built down by alternate color. At the start of the game one card is dealt face up to each pile. Groups of cards in sequence down by alternate color may be moved as a unit. When a pile is empty, it is fillled by a card from the reserves. If the reserves are empty, then it is filled from the waste pile.

There are two reserve piles on either side of the foundations. The top card is available for play on the foundations or tableau. At the start of the game five cards are dealt face up to each pile.

The remainder of the cards form a stock. This is turned over the waste pile one card at a time by clicking. There are no redeals. The top card of the waste pile is available for play on the foundations or tableau and will fill spaces in the tableau when the reserves are empty.

Gate is an easy game to win, an average player will win 99% of the time and good players should win nearly every time.
