Miss Muffet is a difficult one deck Spider type game.
There are ten tableau piles. These piles are to be built down in suit, or in the same rank (for example, build down in Spades, or place a Four on another Four). Groups of cards in sequence down in suit (or of the same rank) may be moved as a unit (groups moved as a unit cannot contain both cards descending in sequence and multiple cards of the same rank at the same time). Spaces are filled by a King or a legal group of cards headed with a King. At the start of the game five cards are dealt to each pile, except for the first and last piles which are dealt six.
All activity takes place among these ten tableau piles. The object is to group all the cards into four sets of thirteen cards in sequence down in suit from King to Ace within the tableau. The sequences are not removed from play when formed (this is like Scorpion).
Miss Muffet is similar to the game Curds and Whey. It is more difficult because there are only ten piles instead of thirteen. It is a difficult game, most players will win only about 5% of the time.
